Saturday, April 27th, 2013 (8am-1:30pm, University of Hawai‘i West O‘ahu campus)
Robofest, a scholastic robotics program founded in 2000 by Dr. CJ Chung (mathematics professor, Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, MI), has chapters across the nation and in 4 foreign countries. Hawai‘i is one of 25 official site hosts worldwide.
This year, 49 Hawaii teams (grades 4-8) are participating in robot challenges and exhibits, showcasing their talents in autonomous robotics. This year’s theme, “Interweaving Robotics Through the Generations,” challenges Hawai‘i students to explore how technology can bridge generation gaps bringing families together.
Please join us and celebrate student achievement through robotics. Come early and meet the hard working students, dedicated teachers and enthusiastic parents to learn why they’re excited about STEM and Robofest!
